Luxury Miami Wedding Photography: A Fashion-Forward Love Story at Deering Estate

When Fashion Meets Love: A Designer Wedding at Biscayne Bay

When I think about weddings that have inspired me, I think of Talia Bernstein and Kristen Zublin’s wedding in Miami. The venue, Miami’s historic, royal palm-fringed Deering Estate, sparkled at the edge of Biscayne Bay.

The Designer Details

The brides were dressed impeccably, Kristen in a crisp white Gucci suit with black trim and Talia in a beautiful custom black jumpsuit with a cummerbund detail. The guest fashion looks were just beyond. Shimmery gowns, glitter touches, florals that echoed the dreamy pastel blossoms that lined the huppah.

And by the way, it started to pour. There was a wedding canopy, of course, but the rain brought a sense of magic. It was an enchanted thing to watch these beautifully dressed guests not even caring that it was raining. It was fun to watch and shoot the entire scene.

Rain-Kissed Romance: An Editorial Wedding Story

But before you think these were the only reasons the wedding stands out in my memory, let me tell you what I enjoyed most about Talia, Kristen and their nuptials: the love story.

Their love story reads like the sweetest of rom-com scripts. Then again, that’s not entirely unexpected from a couple of Hollywood screenwriters who met at an improv class.

From Improv to “I Do”: A New York Times Featured Love Story

It’s no surprise Talia and Kristen’s Feb. 18 wedding reflected the full scope of their story, a friendship that deepened into romance without losing the loveable quirks and joys of a great friendship. I could sense this in their wedding vows. Heartfelt and playful, the banter within their vows was something so beautiful.

As someone who works these events, I hear a million and one vows and speeches. But to hear this couple, how they spoke about their love, I could tell theirs was a match made in heaven.

In fact, The New York Times featured the couple’s wedding in a March 1 story titled “A Secret Crush and a Not-So-Obvious First Date Leads to Romance”. It was also found in a follow-up New York Times article in a “good news” section. I was so proud to see my photos featured in the coverage of this magical event.
